It is wonderful that you have found your way to my website! In case you do not already know something about me, let me change that! 

My name is Christine Huning, and I am from Germany. My inspiration comes from the raw beauty of nature with its towering mountains, hidden valleys, and the wild creatures that call these places home. Having studied forest ecology, my work is deeply rooted in scientific understanding yet driven by something far more personal: a longing for the kind of peace that can only be found in the wilderness.

My art is for the dreamers, the wanderers, and the souls who find their truest selves beneath an open sky. It's for those who start crying when seeing amazing views or wildlife and are deeply connected to our world with their emotions. Believe me, I always cry happy tears - you are not alone! If your heart feels most at peace surrounded by nature’s beauty (whether in the stillness of a forest, the roar of an ocean, or the song of a distant bird) then my work is for you. 

I love painting in places that have a sense of adventure which means you might find me on top of a mountain overlooking glaciers, canoeing through remote places and searching for wild animals. Each of my paintings holds a yearning for untouched places where the modern world fades into silence.

More than just depicting landscapes and wildlife, my goal is to remind you of the beauty and diversity that our world has to offer even thoug it can be super dark sometimes. It is big, and beautiful and above all, worth protecting. In a time when nature is increasingly threatened, I hope my work serves as both an invitation and a call to action: to step outside, to observe, to appreciate, and to preserve the wild places that still remain.
